Complaining paid off

I know I'm so retarded, my second blog in one day. I called my contractor's under guy and he was so okay with going and getting the door. I was so happy. I think he totally understood what was going on. So, I took a little drive and went out to look at the house and I actually remembered to take a couple of pictures. The just a little different views.

Okay so the main differences between these pictures and the one I put up last week are that now the roof is shingled. The chimney is done, you can kind of see it. We have a front door (Hooray!!), and the masonry guy has started to brick our posts, and he's put some of the tar paper up where he's going to be bricking on our actual house. The other differences are all internal. The front door looks kind of funny 'cause the trim around the window is tan like the trim around our other windows, but when you buy your door it's just primed so once it's painted it won't look so wierd. Okay I'm a little happier now. Contented for another day or so.
Well the boys just came in and a took a couple pictures of them since I was already blogging. They are pretty cute.

Brendon thinks he is so cute when he wears Ben's cowboy hat. They were playing "cowboy and calf" today. They were taking turns being the calf and putting Ben's rope around their waiste and the other would be the cowboy and pull them in.

Once Ben saw me putting the pictures of the house on the blog he started saying take a picture of me. He loves for me to take his picture, but his favorite part is looking at it in the camera afterwards. He's hard to take pictures of 'cause he still doesn't understand how still he needs to be and he makes the most aweful cheese smiles, he cheeses it up so bad, most of his pictures I erase. It's better when I get his off-guard.

So Frustrated

Well building a house can be a little frustrating I have to say. I think the worst part is waiting on subs to do their work, our general is great! Our heating guy started almost three weeks ago and I still don't think he's done! The electrician is working his butt off though. I think he'll probably be done today if he wasn't done yesterday. The plumber went in and got almost everything done, he just forgot a couple of things. Then I had to call my contractor and he had to call the plumber to come back and finish. Our cabinet guys have been hounding us because they want to come up for final measurements but they don't do that until after the 4-way inspection is done, which means the heating guy has to finish his crap.
Our masonry guy has been there a couple of times doing some stuff for our brick. We saw him there yesterday and Blake decided to go talk to him. He told Blake "yeah I could get all of it done, it would only take me one day if your front door was put in" The door has to be in so that way the brick goes all the way to the door, (makes sence). So I started thinking about it, we ordered our front door three weeks ago, and part of the reason I choose the door I did was because it was a good price and they had it in stock (hence the good price). So I called Jones Paint and Glass today to see what was going on. They said it's done and just sitting there, but they couldn't deliver it until next Tuesday. So it's just been sitting there cause they're to busy to deliver it and my masonry guy is sitting around actually wanting to do his work and he can't because he's waiting on our door! Our general conractor is out of town, but his right hand men are still here, so I tried calling one of them to see if they could just go pick it up and put it in today or Monday so our brick could get done.
Besides the fact that they delivered the wrong french doors for our dinning room. So we are waiting for that to be fixed, and the wrong ones are just sitting there. I want to just take them back to Jones and go get them from Lowes, which is what I thought we were doing in the first place, because I think they were like $150-$200 cheaper there. Any ways it's just a big hurry up and wait game.
Don't get me wrong I am so thankful for the work that has got done, and it really is starting to come together and they should be able to sheet rock it either next week or the week after that which would just be great. That will make me so happy. There are just so many things to get done and so many choices to make it's insane. I can't wait to just live in it! It does make me excited for the future.
Well Blake took the day to go fishing and I'm at home with the boys, hoping and praying that Ben isn't getting sick AGAIN! He isn't acting right and his voice is raspy, and he has coughed a little this morning. Besides the fact that he's just laying down watching a movie. He just got off his antibiotics on Monday! I can't wait for it to be warm, maybe all of this cold sick nastyness will go away. Brendon only has to be on his antibiotics through tomorrow, though i'm thinking about letting him take it on Sunday too, just incase Ben is getting sick again.
Well sorry I don't have any pictures to post this time. I'm so bad at remembering to take them when we're out looking at our house. Then during the day I can't find my camera because it's either in my purse and I've forgot or it's in the car or truck. Someday my brain will work better.

Daisy Duke

Blake and I went to Provo last Friday, we came home on Saturday and we brought a surprise. We decided to get a puppy for Blake's Dad. Then while we were there and looking at them we decided to get one for us too. We got a boy and got his Dad a little girl. They are so cute. They're about 10 1/2 weeks old right now. We took some pictures of them when we brought them home. Blake was set on naming our puppy Duke. I was fine with it. Then Blake's sister Jenifer decided it would be hilarious if we named the girl Daisy. Well we were going to let his Dad decide since it is supposed to be his puppy, but he took to long, and the name caught on. She's a cute Daisy. The boys are so happy to have a puppy. Ben had been asking for one for weeks non-stop. We kept telling him that he would have to wait until we got into our big new house, but I guess his waiting stopped early. The lucky little guy.

Brendon loves the puppies, but they love to scratch his face. The poor little guy is stuck. He hates not being able to love on them. If you even mention the puppies or a puppy he starts saying "Du". I'm so excited for our boys to have a puppy to grow up with.

This little gale is Daisy. She is a sweet heart and just loves to kiss you all over your face. She's kind of had a harder time adjusting. I think the transport from Bluffdale to Vernal kind of upset her tummy. Yesterday she started doing tons better. We are so glad that we got two instead of one. I think they're doing tons better because they're not alone. They love to play together and they're really smart. They don't really ever try to leave the drive way. They just play in the backyard. We put them in a big pet porter at night, or if no one is going to be at Blake's parents house they'll put them in it so they don't run off and get lost. We want these puppies!
Well the update on the house...

So this is what it looks like now. Well a little further now, I took this at the beginning of the week. They've got half of it shingled as of yesterday. Those big white things in the pictures were our tubs and showers. They've got one of the tubs in and the shower in the mud room. You can see some of them but they have all of the windows in. Our chimney is done. They have our two side doors up. The plumbing is almost done, or maybe it is done, I couldn't really tell. Our heating guy has come through and I know he's part way there so it's been a great week. Blake wants to go out and look at it tonight to see if they've finished the shingles so maybe we will. I swear his parents are going to hate us. I think we've been out every night this week. You know we want to check on the house and the little puppies. Alright I guess I'm done blabbing for now. We're just really excited about everything going on. Hopefully things will keep going in the same direction for us.
